Step 1: Generate Google Maps API Key
1. Navigate to the Google Cloud Console.
2. Create a new project or select an existing one.
3. In the left sidebar, click on "APIs & Services" and then "Credentials."
4. Click on "Create Credentials" and select "API Key."
5. A new API Key will be generated.
Step 2: Enable Required APIs
1. In the Google Cloud Console, navigate to "APIs & Services" and click on "Dashboard."
2. Enable the following APIs: Places API, Maps JavaScript API, and Geocoding API.
Optional Step: Restrict API Key Usage to a Specific URL
If you want to restrict the usage of your API key to a specific URL, follow these additional steps:
1. In the Google Cloud Console, go to "APIs & Services" > "Credentials."
2. Under your API Key details, find the "Application restrictions" section.
3. Choose "HTTP referrers" and click "Add an item."
4. Enter the URL "https://sl-widget.proguscommerce.com/main" to restrict API key usage to the specified URL.
Step 3: Integrate Google API Key into Progus Store Locator
1. In your Progus Store Locator app, go to "Settings" and select "Appearance"
2. Choose "Google" tab in the "Map style" section.
3. Enter the Google Maps API Key you obtained in the "Google API Key" field.
5. Click the "Save" button at the top of the page.
