(Optional) Create your Google Spreadsheet:
Navigate to the Google Sheets homepage.
Once on the Google Sheets homepage, you'll need to sign in with your Google account if you're not already signed in.
After signing in, you can click on the "Blank" or "Blank spreadsheet" option to create a new, empty spreadsheet.
You can add your locations data to your spreadsheet file.
Open the Progus Store Locator dashboard, find and click on the Locations page.
Look for the Data sources button and click on Add data source.
Choose Select Google Sheet. You will be prompted to proceed with the Google connection process. Follow the on-screen instructions to allow Progus Store Locator access to your Google Sheets.
After granting access, you'll see a list of your Google Drive spreadsheets.
Select the spreadsheet you wish to import. Make sure this spreadsheet contains the location data you want to display in your store locator.
You will be asked to choose which Sheet do you want to use. (Only if you have multiple sheets in your spreadsheet)
Then you'll be taken to a preview where you can see the data contained in the file.
Here, you'll need to assign the correct meanings to each column. Some of columns can be assigned automatically. Note: The "name" column is required, but you may set additional columns based on the information you want to import, such as addresses, phone numbers, etc.
Once you've correctly assigned meanings to your columns, click on Save & Import Now.
The import process will begin, integrating your location data into the Progus Store Locator. The time of imports depends of locations number and if your file contains location's coordinates(latitude and longitude). For example: the spreadsheet without coordinates, with 2000 locations the process can take up to 1 hour.
Additional Tips
Regular Updates: You can set how frequently Progus Store Locator fetches updates from your Google Spreadsheet (e.g., every 15 minutes, hourly, or daily). This ensures your locator data is always up to date. You can manage this setting after data sources creation in Locations->data sources->your data source.
Spreadsheet Format: Ensure your Google Spreadsheet is properly formatted with clear, consistent columns for a smooth import process.
Privacy Settings: Check the privacy settings of your Google Spreadsheet to make sure it's accessible to the Progus Store Locator app during the connection process. You need to have read & write access to the file you want to connect.
